We’re pausing new sign ups to rebuild Able from the ground up.
Today we’re pausing new public signups for Able while we rebuild it from the ground up into the platform we always believed it could be. If you were about to create an account, this note is for you: here is what is changing, what we are building, and how to be first in line when the new Able opens.
Why we’re rebuilding Able.
Able began as an internal tool for the brilliant team at Integral, and gradually grew bit by bit into something far bigger: a way to design and deliver blended learning & development programs, integrate AI-generated coaching, measure real behaviour change, and run the commercial side of a leadership development business - all in one place. After using it as an internal tool for several years a year ago we opened it up to any coach, facilitator or L&D team around the world. But a few things happened:
Life: didn’t go as expected. We watched new users try Able and talked to learning & development practitioners from solo coaches to universities and found L&D practitioners and teams needed slightly different tools, workflows and configurations to the team at Integral. But the organic incremental build of Able over years made it difficult to redesign and rebuild the platform as easily as we’d like; and
Large Language Models & AI: got better, better and better. Not only did AI-driven coding tools get good enough for us to redesign and rebuild Able from the ground up in a shorter period than would have been possible 2 years ago, but the improvements in language models have also changed how AI can be used for learning, teaching, writing, coaching, scheduling, growing, emailing, nudging and many other aspects of learning or running a learning & development business.
These two things and our own experiences of learning and working with our AI co-workers (hi Juan 👋) meant we learned an enormous amount from that first chapter but felt confident we needed to reimagine what a tool for learning & development should be. So we’re building a new version of Able that is faster, simpler, plays very nicely with both humans & AI, and is genuinely delightful to use.
Rather than bolt a new vision onto old foundations, we are rebuilding Able properly. That means pressing pause on new signups for a little while, so we can put everything into getting the next version right for practitioners and learners.

An AI-driven Chief of Staff that acts as a team mate surfacing inisghts across your business and completing tasks for you.
A fast, modern, user experience for any L&D team.

When is the new Able coming?
We’re aiming to open the new Able to new users in a few months. We would rather take the time to build something we are proud of than rush it out so we can’t give a definite release date. The waitlist is the best way to follow along and to get early access the moment it is ready.
